“All-hands on deck” needed to reverse trend - minister

North Bay Nugget - The federal government is working to attract jobs and qualified people to Northern Ontario in an attempt to turn around the loss of population – particularly young people – according to the federal minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. His comments come in the wake of a report by the Northern Policy Institute that warns Northern Ontario is losing workers and people at a rate that could leave this region of the country short 75,000 workers and 150,000 people by 2041.
